25th Anniversary

From our Event Consultant Sara:

I knew I wanted to do something special for my parents 25th Anniversary, but I wasn't sure how I was going to pull of planning a party in Pittsburgh from Naples, Florida! My parents never had a wedding of their own, being that they grew up poor and only 18 years old. I decided to throw them a suprise reception with close family and friends. We put together a night filled with dinner, cake, favors, and gifts. They were so suprised, and it was such a great feeling to give something to them that they never had.

Tiffany & Co. Themed Shower/Bachelorette

From our Event Consultant Sara:

When my best friend asked me to be her matron of honor in her upcoming September wedding, I knew it was time to start planning her shower and bachelorette parties. Being the "Diva" that she is, I decided to go with a Tiffany & Co. Theme. For the bachelorette party, we wore shirts the said "Bride & Co.", wore a lot of enormous bling, and carried our custom made champagne glasses all over town.

For the bridal shower, I sent out invitations that resembled the infamous Tiffany blue, and white ribbon. For the centerpieces, I replicated the Tiffany gift box, and use diamonds as confetti. My favorite part was the cake, which looked just like stacked Tiffany boxes.

My First Wedding with No Worries!

From Audra, the No Worries Intern:

When deciding that I wanted to get into Event Planning, I had an idea of what it was all about, until I worked my first wedding with Kelly & No Worries.

Two words come to mind for this beach wedding: HARD WORK! Event planning sounds to be glamorous and creative but little did I know how much manual labor went into weddings. There was a lot of soar muscles and sweat by the end of it all. However, it was well worth it. Seeing the happy couple's faces when they saw what we did was priceless, and the feeling that it gave me so indescribable. Knowing that I helped make their day special and exactly what they wanted is why I do want to become an event planner.

This experience could have easily turned me off from wanting to get into the event planning industry but it didn't. During all the setting up and heavy lifting I learned what being an event planner was all about and that is to do whatever it takes to make the happy couple, HAPPY!

It was a magical day and night, as I got to watch two people in love tie the knot and make life-long committments to one another. The reception was beautiful while everyone dined under candle light, and danced the night away. It was an amazing experience and not only did I get to help make their day extra special I got another pay off as well: by the end of this wedding, my muscles were more tone and I really do think that I lost a few pounds as well so for me, it was well worth it! :)

Introducing Sara - No Worries Weddings & Events New Consultant

Hey Bloggers! My name is Sara Kostelnik. I recently teamed up with No Worries Weddings & Events as an Event Consultant. After working as an assistant/intern last wedding season, I've learned a lot, and I am so excited to now begin my journey in Event Planning. It all started with the planning of my own wedding. At first, I wasn't really sure where to start. Once I decided on two items that I really loved, the color pink and orchids, it seemed as if everything just fell into place. I really enjoyed creating my own decor. Anything, from the stationary to the centerpieces, were custom made to fit my ceremony and reception. I even got my husband in on decorating. Which he did enjoy, but we won't tell anyone!!! Here are some pictures of my wedding, and check back for design ideas, pictures, and more!

My First Intern Experience

On August 5th, 2008, my first task was to attend the National Association of Wedding Professionals Naples Chapter 2008 Member-Guest Party at LaPlaya Resort in Naples, FL! I was very overwhelmed but excited to see what this event is all about. I am new to this industry and so I was really looking forward to attending.
This party, was just that: a party! However, as much fun as it was, it also was a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with many people in the wedding/event industry. There was such as diverse group of people who attended: photographers, florists, hotel managment etc. were all in attendance and this event was a great way to make connections and enhance one's business.

I got to speak with many of these people, and so I quickly realized how important it is to make connections with other people because they can really help you out.

Overall, this event opened my eyes to all of the aspects of the wedding/event industry, and it was a great time!!!

We're Back!!!

Yes, I know, we've been MIA for far too long! When someone you haven't seen in 20 years, tracks you down via your blog and comments that it's very out of date, you know it's time to get on the ball.

I'll be updating all week and getting all our weddings linked to this blog. So check back soon!

So what have I been up to? Well, for one thing, giving birth! My husband and I welcomed cutie-pie Colton into the world on April 14, 2008 -- right in the middle of a crazy wedding season! Colton was born on Monday and Mommy was at a wedding rehearsal on Friday, the wedding on Saturday. By the time he was 9 weeks old, Mommy had completed 10 weddings!

So pardon the lack of blog posts, but we've been a bit busy! : - )

Thank you Shari Bare for this wonderful photo of Colton.
